You can use the following identity documents to apply for the International Driving Permit (IDP):
- Permanent HKID card; or
- Identity documents issued by the Hong Kong Immigration Department to temporary Hong Kong Resident for employment or other purpose; or
- Temporary HKID card.
Points to note: You may use the original or the copy of the identity document to apply for the IDP.
